    Compliance

    AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group GmbH

Trust and integrity are key terms in a modern corporate culture. A company that wants to remain and grow sustainably in the market depends on the confidence of its environment, its customers and suppliers, its employees—both locally and globally. We have made a commitment to this in our Code of Conduct, which describes the implementation and application of our company principles in day-to-day business situations.

With globally valid rules of conduct, we protect our employees, our company, as well as our customers and partners. Preventative and control measures—including the four-eyes principle and regular audits—are intended to support our values-based compliance system. In addition, we have a mandatory compliance training programme for our employees.

The compliance system is supplemented by a whistleblowing system. Employees always have the opportunity to report non-compliant behaviour. We want to ensure that the principles and rules of our company are followed by all employees at all times. With our whistleblowing system, all employees can alert us to ethical misconduct and possible violations, such as fraud, corruption, improper influence, harassment, discrimination or environmental damage. Reports are treated with strict confidentiality unless there is a legal obligation to forward information to an authority. In addition, employer sanctions are excluded.

Responsible and lawful behaviour is also important to us beyond our company boundaries, which is why we have introduced a Code of Conduct for suppliers. Compliance with legal requirements, transparency and fair competition are essential elements of our daily business. Therefore, we place high demands on ourselves and equally on our suppliers—particularly regarding fair competition, anti-corruption, data protection, environmental protection, occupational safety, the avoidance of conflicts of interest, and the protection of assets and information.

In a rapidly changing environment, we constantly review our compliance system so we can adjust our rules and processes to any new legal and technical developments if needed.
