Global Procurement
Long-Term Partnerships with AL-KO VT
The central procurement team of the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group manages sourcing worldwide for our international locations. We work with suppliers who share our high standards for quality, reliability and sustainable cooperation. In return, we offer long-term partnerships together with excellent development and growth prospects.
Compliance in Procurement
Compliance as the foundation of our procurement
Procurement is subject to special requirements and risks from a compliance perspective. To minimise these risks, transparent processes are required. Potential legal violations are to be prevented, fair competition ensured, and regular screening of the supplier base conducted.
The observance of statutory requirements, transparency and fair competition are essential elements of our daily business. Ultimately, this also helps us to safeguard the long-term success of our company.
For this reason, we place high demands on ourselves as well as on our suppliers:
- Fair competition
- Combating corruption
- Data protection
- Environmental protection
- Occupational safety
- Compliance with the law
- Avoidance of conflicts of interest
- Protection of assets and information
Process-Oriented Procurement
Our Principles
In order to secure and expand our company's market position in the long term, process-oriented procurement at AL-KO VT plays a vital role. The sourcing of production materials, merchandise, capital goods, services and consumables is organised within a global procurement network. We hold our suppliers to high standards and offer in return partnership-based business relations with opportunities for growth and development.
Targeted Procurement
The intention is clear: our aim is to ensure cost-efficient supply at a high quality standard for all global production sites of AL-KO VT. In selecting the right suppliers, it is important to have transparency of cost structures throughout the entire supply chain. Only with sufficient cost transparency can we assess which suppliers are able to meet the target costs. The prerequisite for this is transparent disclosure of cost drivers by the supplier. The aim is not to question the supplier's profit, but rather to identify the mutual cost drivers within the entire value chain. Our objective is cost-efficient supply to our global production sites at consistently high quality standards. Together, we identify cost drivers within the value chain that we can influence and develop measures to reduce them. We see this as the foundation for long-term partnerships and their ongoing development.
