    Battery charging and power systems

    For battery-powered applications, AL-KO VT offers various solutions for charging, power supply and battery management.

    The BC222 is a 22 A switch-mode battery charger for 12 V batteries and supports lead-acid, gel, AGM and LiFePO4 batteries. Thanks to different charging algorithms, the device can be adapted to the respective battery type. In addition to battery charging, the BC222 can also be used as a power supply unit.

    For applications where a battery needs to be charged during operation from another power source, DC/DC converters NE325-25A and NE325-40A are also available. These provide a maximum output current of 25 or 40 A and support different battery technologies.

    Control and operating panels

    Central operation of functions and clear display of operating states

    Control and operating panels form the interface between the user and the electronic system. Depending on the model, various electrical functions can be controlled and important operating information clearly displayed.

    The range includes systems with LED, LCD and touch operation. Depending on the system, battery states, tank levels and temperatures can be monitored and various loads and electrical functions controlled.

    Power distribution and electrical protection

    Safely distributing energy to loads and system components

    Reliable power distribution forms the basis for more complex electrical systems. Distribution units supply power to connected loads and can also combine fuse and protection functions.

    With components such as DL30, DS300 and NE356, various 12 V distribution units are available for different system configurations.

    In addition, the portfolio includes a variety of fuse holders, blade and strip fuses, relays, battery isolators and busbars. This ensures that power circuits can be designed and protected in accordance with electrical requirements.

    Sensors and measuring components

    Detect system status and make relevant data available

    Sensors and measuring components provide the data required to monitor and control electronic systems. Depending on the application, temperatures, tank levels, battery voltages or electrical currents can be measured.

    The range includes, among others, temperature sensors as well as different fresh and waste water tank probes. These include SP5, SP5/40, FT5/40, SPE and SS/P, as well as the relevant connecting cables.

    For battery system monitoring, the AM500 Shunt is also available. It measures currents up to 500 A and enables calculation of parameters such as current consumption, state of charge, state of health and remaining battery runtime.

    Bus and communication systems

    Network electronic components within a system

    In more complex electronic architectures, different controllers, sensors and other components need to communicate with each other. Bus-based systems enable this data exchange and can also help to structure wiring and assembly within the application.

    With components such as the ICL12 Gateway and various CL-BUS connections and connecting cables, building blocks for networking electronic system components are available.

    This enables the exchange of information within system architecture and interlinking of functions.

    Inverters and power supply

    Supply 230 V devices from a 12 V system

    For applications where 230 V AC must be provided from a 12 V DC supply, the range includes sine-wave inverters in the ERP Series.

    The devices output a pure sine wave voltage, making them suitable for sensitive loads. Variants are available for continuous power requirements from 300 to 3,000 W. The product family includes, among others, ERP300, ERP600, ERP1500, ERP2000-IVT and ERP3000-IVT RCD.

    Protection functions against overload, short circuit and over-temperature ensure reliable operation. Depending on the model, functions for switching between mains and inverter operation may also be available.

    Battery management

    Intelligently integrate multiple batteries in an energy system

    With the BDS200, AL-KO VT offers an electronic solution for managing two 12 V service batteries. The integrated microprocessor coordinates the batteries both during charging and discharging.

    Batteries of different capacities and ages may be used. The system monitors the individual batteries and can isolate a faulty battery. A battery protection function helps prevent excessive discharge.

    The MC-180 control panel provides operation. Here you can select between automatic and manual mode.

    Dimmers and lighting control

    Demand-based lighting control

    DLS200 enables electronic control of the brightness of various 12 V luminaires. Connected push-buttons allow lighting to be switched on and off as well as dimmed.

    The device supports up to eight lighting channels and a maximum output of 200 W. Short-circuit and over-temperature protection are integrated.

    Reliably connect and integrate components

    A range of cables, connector and accessory solutions are available to integrate the various electronic components. These include control cables, sensor cables, cable sets, connectors, fuses, relays and other components for building electrical systems.

    Suitable cables and lines are used, for example, to connect control panels, power distribution units, tank probes, temperature sensors and gateways.

    The range also includes a variety of 12 V components such as connectors, USB sockets, fuse holders, battery isolators and power distribution units.
