Your data may be forwarded to technical service providers (e.g. for website support) carefully selected and contracted by us, for the purpose of providing this website and the aforementioned purposes. We have concluded data processing agreements with these service providers. Your data is otherwise only shared with other third parties or transferred to third countries if this is expressly mentioned in this privacy policy or we are legally obliged to do so.

We retain your personal data for the aforementioned purposes. Your data is initially processed from the moment of collection (as provided by you or a third party). We will delete your personal data that you have provided to us as soon as the contractual relationship with you has ended or you have withdrawn your consent, all mutual claims have been fulfilled and there are no other statutory retention obligations or legal reasons for retaining the data.

If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (objection according to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).

    Right to Withdraw Consent

If you have granted us separate consent to data processing, you may withdraw this consent at any time pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. Such a revocation does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.

When visiting our website, your browsing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This takes place primarily through the use of cookies and so-called analytics programs. The analysis of your browsing behaviour is usually anonymous; the browsing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You may object to this analysis or prevent it by refraining from using certain tools.

    Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Cookies help make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". These are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or generally, as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted. Cookies required for the electronic communication process or the provision of certain features requested by you are stored based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of their services.

    Server Log Files

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

    • Browser type and browser version
    • Operating system used
    • Referrer URL
    • Host name of the accessing computer
    • Time of server request
    • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of their website – for this, the server log files must be collected.

    Contact Form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the request form including the contact data you provide there will be stored by us temporarily for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for any follow-up questions. The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). When using our contact form, your data will be stored on our server. Should you not wish your data to be stored, you may revoke your consent to the storage of your data at any time by sending a simple email to dataprotection@alko-tech.com or by written notification to the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group, Ichenhauser Str. 14, 89359 Kötz.

    Product Registration on this Website

You can carry out product registration on our website. You must provide all required information in the registration form; otherwise, we will reject the registration. During product registration via our website, the following data is collected and stored: first and last name, address, email address and telephone number. For important changes such as changes to the product offering or technically necessary changes, we will use the email provided at registration to inform you. The processing of the data entered during registration is for fulfilling a contract or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The storage of your personal data, which you have consented to for the purpose of product registration, also takes place via Jotform Inc., 111 Pine St. Suite 1815, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA (“Jotform”). When using our contact form, your data is stored on the Jotform server. Should you not wish your data to be stored by Jotform, you can withdraw your consent to the storage of your data at any time by simply emailing dataprotection@alko-tech.com or by written notification to AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group, Ichenhauser Str. 14, 89359 Kötz.

Conclusion of an Order Processing Contract

We have concluded an order processing contract with Jotform and fully comply with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Jotform.

    Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files stored on your computer which enable your use of the website to be analysed. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. The storage of Google Analytics cookies and use of this analysis tool is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its web offering and its advertising.

    IP Anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. This means your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services to the website operator relating to website use and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

    Objection to Data Collection

You can prevent the storage of all cookies by adjusting your browser’s settings accordingly. Please note that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this and other websites. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. In addition, we offer you the option to disable the collection of your website usage data for this website by Google Analytics by clicking the following link: Disable Google Analytics data collection for this website. In this case, a special opt-out cookie will be set, which will prevent future collection of your usage data when visiting this website.

    Order Processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

    Demographic Features in Google Analytics

This website uses the “demographic features” function of Google Analytics. Reports can therefore be created which contain statements on age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from third-party visitor data. These data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit Google Analytics from collecting your data as described in the section “Objection to Data Collection”.

    Storage Period

Data stored by Google at user and event level which is linked with cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID), or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymised or deleted after 26 months. Details can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
As part of Google AdWords, we use conversion tracking. If you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser places on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user has clicked the ad and been redirected to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers find out the total number of users who have clicked their ad and been redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could personally identify users. If you do not wish to take part in tracking, you can object by easily disabling the Google conversion cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storing of "conversion cookies" and the use of this tracking tool are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both their web offering and their advertising. More information on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing your browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

    Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution from Google Inc. that allows marketers to manage website tags via an interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags that may in turn collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, this will remain in effect for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

    Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for conversion tracking.
This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes to be evaluated and future advertising measures to be optimised. The collected data is anonymous to us as operator of this website; we cannot draw conclusions about users’ identities. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, making it possible to link to the respective user profile and for Facebook to use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This enables Facebook to place ads on Facebook pages as well as outside Facebook. This data use cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.
The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising, including via social media. Please refer to the Facebook data protection information for more details on the protection of your privacy: https://en-gb.facebook.com/about/privacy/
You can also disable the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function in the advertising preferences section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this you must be logged in to Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising by Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

    CleverReach

This website uses CleverReach for sending newsletters. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service used to organise and analyse newsletter distribution. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. email address) is stored on the servers of CleverReach in Germany or Ireland. Our newsletters sent with CleverReach enable us to analyse the behaviour of newsletter recipients. Among other things, it can be analysed how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, it can also be analysed whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Further information on data analysis by CleverReach newsletters can be found at: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/features/reporting-tracking/.
Data processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time as described above by unsubscribing from the newsletter. If you do not want analysis by CleverReach, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and those of CleverReach after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected. Further details can be found in CleverReach’s privacy policy: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/privacy-policy/.

Conclusion of an Order Processing Agreement

We have concluded an order processing contract with CleverReach and fully comply with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using CleverReach.

    Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps mapping service via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Maps will store your IP address. This is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. The provider of this site has no influence over this data transmission by Google Maps. More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/

    Social Wall with Flockler

This website uses the "Social Media Wall" from Flockler to aggregate posts from various social networks in which we are mentioned or which contain a hashtag with our name or a campaign name. This includes mentions of posts we publish on social networks as well as posts published by users. The content of the posts is automatically sourced from the respective social networks in accordance with the conditions and permissions of the authors, and users may object to the display at any time. The authors are generally responsible for the content of the posts.

The respective social network providers are responsible for processing the data in connection with the display and content of posts. We refer to the information provided by each social network within this privacy policy. Notwithstanding the data subject rights of users, we recommend that users (also) contact the respective authors or providers of the social networks directly in the event of requests for information and complaints regarding posts not authored by us, in order to have the posts removed at source or to exercise their data protection rights.

    Sharing Buttons

Our website uses privacy-compliant "Shariff" buttons. Shariff was developed by c't magazine specialists to enable greater privacy online and to replace the standard "share" buttons of social networks.

Information pursuant to Article 13 GDPR on Online Presence in Social Media

We maintain an online presence within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users who are active there, and to inform them about our services.

Please note that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This may pose risks for users because, for example, their rights may be harder to enforce. Furthermore, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created based on user behaviour and resulting interests. These profiles can in turn be used to place adverts within and outside platforms that presumably match the interests of users. Cookies are usually stored on users’ computers for these purposes, in which the usage behaviour and interests are saved. Additionally, data may be stored in user profiles independently of the device used by users.

The processing of users’ personal data is based on our legitimate interest in effective information of and communication with users according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

For a detailed description of each type of processing and the options to object (opt-out), please refer to the following links to the providers’ details.

When it comes to information requests and asserting your rights as a user, please note that these can most effectively be asserted directly with the providers. Only the providers have access to users’ data and can take direct action and provide information. If you still need assistance, you may contact us.

Data is only transferred to countries outside the EU or EEA where this is required to execute contracts with customers, suppliers and service partners (e.g. for materials procurement, production, logistics), you have given us consent, or in the context of order processing. Data exchange also takes place with group companies of AL-KO VT in third countries.
Where service providers in third countries are engaged, they are contractually obliged to comply with EU-standard contractual clauses and thus maintain an EU-equivalent level of data protection. There are appropriate contractual agreements in place with group companies of AL-KO VT.

Scope, Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Collection

If you send us an application, we process all associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken in the course of interviews, etc.) as far as is necessary for the decision on entering into an employment relationship.

The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given consent – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Your personal data will be shared within our company only with those persons involved in processing your application. If your application is successful, the data you provided will be stored in our data processing systems under § 26 BDSG-neu and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purposes of the employment relationship.

    Data Retention Period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer, withdraw your application, withdraw your consent for data processing or require us to delete your data, the data you have provided (including any physical application documents) will be stored/retained for a maximum of 6 months and 7 days after the conclusion of the application process (retention period), to allow for clarification of the details of the application process in case of discrepancies (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

If your profile is of interest to us for future vacancies and we would like to consider further possible positions, we will contact you to ask if you want to be included in our applicant pool. The same applies to speculative applications. If you agree to further storage of your personal data, we will add you to our applicant pool. Your data will then be deleted after 12 months.

After the retention period has expired, data is deleted unless a legal retention obligation or other legal reason for storage applies. If it is foreseeable that the retention of your data after the expiration of the retention period is necessary (e.g. due to a pending or threatened legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the data is no longer relevant. Other legal retention obligations remain unaffected.

This service provider acts on our behalf and may gain knowledge of your personal data in connection with maintaining and servicing the systems. We have concluded a data processing agreement with this provider, ensuring that the data is processed in a legally compliant manner.
Your application data will be reviewed by the HR department upon receipt. Suitable applications will then be passed internally to the relevant department managers responsible for the open position. The further process is then coordinated. In principle, only those persons within the company who need your data for the proper processing of the application procedure have access to it.
