The AL-KO VT Customer Centre Elsdorf is a branch of E&P Hydraulics, specialist for levelling systems within the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group. While your recreational vehicle is on the lift, you can relax in the modern lounge area or use it for work on your laptop during opening hours. The building is located in Elsdorf’s industrial estate, where you’ll find other businesses as well as a bakery. There are shops in town for your daily needs.

The Terranova viewpoint (Nordrandweg) lets you take in the full extent and size of the region’s open cast mine. The viewpoint is just under three kilometres from the Customer Centre and has an adjoining restaurant open Wednesday to Sunday.

The surroundings, including the Sophienhöhe - a recultivated spoil heap - offer wonderful opportunities for hiking. It can easily be reached by bike or car from Elsdorf. In summer 2024, Koniks, a robust pony breed from Central and Eastern Europe, were released here.

If you’d like to cycle along the open cast mine, the former conveyor belt route between the former Bergheim open cast mine and the largest open cast mine in Europe, Hambach, is perfect for cycling, inline skating and walking. The five-metre-wide, asphalted Speedway :terra nova is part of a 14 kilometre circuit – perfectly straight and free from crossings.

There is a designated motorhome pitch directly in front of the premises. Thanks to the available customer parking spaces, it is possible for several motorhomes to stay overnight. Electricity is available.

For a longer stay, we recommend Campingplatz Liblarer See. It is just under 30 kilometres from the Customer Centre, located right on the lake with a bathing beach, provides all necessary infrastructure and is an excellent starting point for hikes and bike tours in the local area.

Motorhome parking Elsdorf

There are two free, spacious pitches at the sports ground in Elsdorf with no supply or disposal facilities. It’s a five-minute walk to Elsdorf’s shopping street, and just three minutes to the supermarket and bakery. Pets allowed.
